The two things that I DO like very much from StewMac are their fret tang nipper for undercutting the tang when working on bound fretboards (not in the kit, I believe), and their double edged fret crowning files.Īs for hammers, I'm not keen on the shot-filled dead-blow kind. There are less expensive ways to get the really essential tools.
Personally, and in MHO only, I don't think the StewMac kit is the best selection.
